Research area: Physics of biological systems



I'm interested in the mechanisms by which cells interact with their environment and generate responses. I am interested both on the dynamics of these processes and on the aspects that allow the identification of spatial differences. Among the latter I include my interest in understanding some of the processes that underlie morphogenesis, the phenomenon by which initially undifferentiated cells eventually end up being in different organs of a body. I like to interact with specialists of other disciplines bringing my expertise on physics and physics tools to these collaborations.
